Python Software Developer Analytics & Risk (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• Develop, evolve, and maintain production software solutions with a focus on Python in the analytics and risk domain
• Design and build Python and database components for analytical applications
• Take over, integrate, and operationalize analytical models from data science development (Python and SAS) into production system landscapes
• Integrate and extend existing SAS code components and embed them in existing database and workflow processes
• Develop, extend, and quality-assure data preparation and ETL processes
• Contribute to technical solution design and further development of existing software and system architecture
• Analyze, maintain, and optimize existing applications and technical components
• Develop and integrate service-oriented software components (e.g. REST APIs)
• Work closely with data scientists, business units, and internal development teams
• Support technical architecture decisions and take technical ownership of subdomains
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high software quality
• Monitor and evaluate new technologies and best practices in software engineering and analytics

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Python
• Solid experience developing production software solutions and operating and evolving them
• Strong SQL skills and experience building database-centric applications (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, or comparable database systems)
• Experience developing data processing and ETL processes
• Experience integrating and operationalizing analytical models or data science solutions
• Knowledge of SAS or willingness to quickly ramp up on existing SAS components
• Solid knowledge of modern software architectures and service-oriented systems (REST APIs)
• Experience in the technical design and delivery of complex software solutions
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured, self-directed way of working
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent German skills, written and spoken
• Nice to have: experience in analytics, risk, or financial services
• Nice to have: experience with container platforms (e.g. OpenShift or Kubernetes)
• Nice to have: requirements engineering skills
• Nice to have: MLOps and deployment processes for analytical applications
• Nice to have: PL/SQL experience
• Nice to have: SAS Viya experience
• Nice to have: technical leadership or mentoring of development teams
